Schizophrenia Awareness training is aimed at anyone working with or supporting service users who have a diagnosis of, or present as if they might be suffering from Schizophrenia and those with a professional or personal interest in schizophrenia.
The course is designed to improve the understanding of schizophrenia and consider practical issues for staff engaging with this client group and to help us understand what living with schizophrenia is like and how to support someone who has a diagnosis.
Course Objectives and Key Benefits
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

- Recognise the different symptoms of the condition.
- Explain the types of Schizophrenia.
- Identify some of the treatments available.

Pre-requisite knowledge or qualifications:
Course Assessment and Certification
Assessment will be by continuous assessment by the trainer – there is no ‘test’ paper.
A Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of course.
The Certificate will not require renewal.
