This Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children training course is a must for anyone who works with children. An ideal half day introduction to the basics of child protection. The course looks at what child abuse is and how to spot potential signs of abuse.
The course raises awareness to delegates as to the long term harm caused to child victims and the need for us to be aware of signs and symptoms and when and how to take action.
Every ten days in England and Wales one child is killed at the hands of their parent. – NSPCC
Who is this course for?
The Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children course is for anyone who works with children: for instance, project workers, youth departments, youth programmes, family support, hostel workers, child minders, parent and toddler groups, play groups, workers in the community, church leaders, volunteers and teachers… in fact anyone who wants to understand the importance of child protection awareness
By the end of the course students will be able to define child protection, look at the different types and signs of abuse including neglect and how to responding, record & report. Who to approach or report to and what actions to take.
