This QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF) (3 Day Course) is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a qualified First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety(First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.
All of our Emergency First Aid training courses are only delivered by medical professionals with real life experience in dealing with emergency situations.
The recommended course duration is 3 days.
The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:
- Responsibilities of the first aider
- Primary survey
- Recovery position
- Bleeding and minor injuries
- Secondary survey
- Major injuries
- Anaphylactic shock
- Major illnesses
- Incident management
- Head injuries
- Unconscious casualty management
- Bones, joins and muscle injuries
- Eye injuries
Course Assessment and Certification
Previously, students who attended our first aid courses were required to pass a final practical assessment. This has now been replaced with continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments.
Successful candidates will receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate and a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification valid for three years.
Do I need to do any other training after this?
It is strongly recommend that all students should undergo an annual refresher programme of about 3 hours, although it is not mandatory.
